Altra will be hosting three one-day camps for youth ages 7-12.
All camps will be held at the Altra Operations Center from 9:00am - 3:00pm. Snacks, refreshments, and lunch are included. Check-in opens 15 minutes prior to start.
This camp will be facilitated by Altra employees and will incorporate hands-on learning experiences with activities, games, and discussions.

Monday, June 10th
Dollar$ & ¢ents Camp will work on developing a basic knowledge of money history, what money is, how money is used, and basic spending concepts.
Topics include:
- Coins & Dollar Bills
- What is Money & How it is Made?
- What is Money Worth
- Save, Spend and Share concept
- Smart Money Choices
Super Savers Camp
ages 9-10
Tuesday, June 11th
Super Saver’s Camp will help build a foundation for key financial concepts, like the importance of budgeting and differentiating between needs and wants. We will build on skills learned in Dollar$ & ¢ents Camp, but it is not a requirement that you have attended previously.
Topics include:
- Careers at a Credit Union
- Credit Union Difference
- Budgeting & Wants vs. Needs
- Money & Counterfeit Money
Money Smart Camp
ages 11-12
Thursday, June 13th
Money Smart Camp will continue developing money smart skills by covering topics from creating SMART goals to basic money-growth strategies. While we will build on skills learned in previous camps, it is not a requirement to have attended previously.
Topics include:
- Creating SMART Goals & Spending Plans
- Budgeting
- Basic Credit Concepts
- Preparing for the Real World
