Kevin began his career in financial services as a part-time teller while still in college. He quickly discovered his passion for helping others and improving their financial lives. He has been blessed to turn that passion into a lifelong career and has had the responsibility for managing branches, leading lending departments, and guiding organisational lending strategies. He began his career at Altra in 2004 and currently leads the administration teams, which support the operations of the credit union. Recognizing the talents of others, and helping them to be successful continues to energise him each and every day.
Altra’s commitment to the community is one of the things that he loves most about the culture. He enjoys leading by example through his involvement in local groups such as the Hunger Task Force of La Crosse, the Great Rivers United Way, the Onalaska Area Business Association, and the La Crosse Neighborhood Revitalization Committee. He gives back to the credit union industry by serving on an advisory council for Fiserv. He is also active at Luther High School and in his church.
Kevin holds a Bachelor’s degree in Economics and Finance from the University of Wisconsin–La Crosse. He has also obtained the Certified Credit Union Chief Executive designation through CUES.
Kevin’s bio wouldn’t be complete without mentioning his other passion—his family. Between the athletic, musical, and other school activities of his seven kids, he and his wife Angi keep a pretty full calendar. Fueled by his passions and a strong cup of coffee, he wouldn’t change a thing about his crazy schedule! On the occasion that there is a little down time, he loves running (having completed a full marathon), playing basketball, and watching almost any type of sporting event.
