Invite a guest and join us as we celebrate St. Patrick’s Day! Enjoy live music provided by Amadans, a local Irish band whose pub rock sound covers traditional and not so traditional Irish ballads and tunes. Light refreshments will be provided and no RSVP is required!
Amadans formed on St. Patrick’s day 2004 and quickly became active in the local Irish music scene. That same year, Amadans opened for Gaelic Storm at UW-La Crosse. Amadans went on to perform as the headlining band for La Crosse’s first three Irishfests in 2005, 2006 and 2007 helping to boost the Irish music scene and launch the fledgling festival. In 2019, Amadans were delighted to perform again for Irishfest, this time for its fifteenth anniversary. In 2021, Amadans teamed up with the Shamrock Club and the La Crosse’s own Clog Jam, for the 60th anniversary of La Crosse Octoberfest and together won the coveted Maple Leaf Parade, Directors Award.
The band features three of the original members, Barry Byrne (guitar, accordion, vocals), Sherri Byrne (Bass), Finnian Cullen (bodhran and vocals) as well as talented local musician, Kyle Humfeld (accordion, banjo, violin).
The Prime Times Social Club is sponsored by Altra Federal Credit Union and is open to all La Crosse, Wisconsin-area residents age 50 and over.
