Branch Manager – Tyler, TX

Altra is in the top 4% of Federal Credit Unions nationwide with $585 million in assets and 55,000 members worldwide. In this full-time position, you will be responsible for the overall operation of two full-service branch offices in Tyler, TX.
As Altra's most visible management representative in the Tyler-area, your main responsibilities will be to promote a sales and service culture, motivate staff to reach and exceed branch goals, build relationships with members, and actively promote Altra through participation in community events, hosting seminars, and networking with local businesses, schools, and community groups. You will also oversee/assist with all aspects of daily operations for two Tyler branch offices (including teller/member service functions, lending, collections, opening, closing, cash control procedures, and office security); develop, track, and update annual budgets; oversee staff operations (monitor/ review performance, facilitate training, coach/mentor staff, schedule personnel). Regular travel between the two Tyler offices is required.
Qualifications: B.A. in Finance, Accounting, or related field, or equivalent work experience, minimum four years experience in a financial institution (credit union preferred), consumer and mortgage lending experience, and three years minimum supervisory experience. Excellent communication and organizational skills; exceptional sales and customer service skills, proficient PC skills, and the ability to work with general instructions and minimal supervision is also required.

Graphic Designer – Onalaska, WI

Part-time flexible schedule (25-28 hrs/week)
Altra’s award-winning marketing/design team is seeking a part-time graphic designer to develop newsletters, direct mail, web graphics, product literature, print ads, forms, retail displays, and more for our sixteen nationwide offices. In this position you will work closely with product managers and the management team to create marketing materials to help Altra achieve its business objectives.
Requirements: Degree in Graphic Design or related field or 2-3 yrs. professional design experience, strong command of print and web design including layout and typography skills, proficiency in QuarkXpress, Photoshop, Illustrator, DreamWeaver, and Microsoft Office including PowerPoint on a PC, demonstrated ability to take projects from conception through production, and knowledge of printing processes. Copywriting skills, excellent organizational, interpersonal and problem-solving skills, a professional and positive attitude, a valid drivers license, and reliable transportation are also required.
To be successful in this position, you will need to present ideas clearly and confidently; work effectively with vendors, print and media reps; juggle multiple projects and meet tight deadlines; know, or be willing to learn, financial products and services, and be available for occasional weekend and/or evening event support. You must have the ability to sit for extended periods, use a keyboard and mouse for the majority of the work day, and occasionally lift up to 35 lbs.

Optical Scanning Specialist – Onalaska, WI

Part Time (20-25 hours/week, Monday-Friday)
Altra is seeking a part-time Optical Scanning Specialist to be responsible for maintaining overall integrity of the Optical Archiving System, including scanning, indexing, and retention of all designated Credit Union documents. Administrative tasks include filing, organizing, data entry, and other general office tasks. This position is located at our Operations Center in Onalaska, WI, for . Afternoon availability starting at 1:30 p.m. or later is preferred, with flexibility on Wednesday scheduling.
Requirements: Previous scanner and financial institution experience preferred; knowledge of lending and membership documentation a plus. Proficient PC skills required. The ability to perform detailed work in an organized, self-motivated, and accurate manner is required.

Mortgage Lender –Winona, MN

The primary responsibility of this position is to assist Altra members in the Winona-area with their home buying needs, build relationships with local realtors and builders, and actively promote Altra through participation in community events, seminars, and networking with local businesses. You will also conduct mortgage loan interviews, originate loan applications, maintain quality mortgage loans and compliance with all guidelines, conduct loan closings, and cross-sell Altra products and services to best meet the members’ needs.
Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in business-related field preferred. Minimum three years mortgage lending experience required with proven sales accomplishments. Originating experience with Conventional, FHA/VA, and mortgage loans for sale to the secondary market desired, with construction loans a plus. Must have well-developed communication skills, proficient PC skills, and a friendly, professional demeanor. The ability to work a flexible schedule including some evenings and Saturdays is necessary.
