Altra Foundation announces winners of Altra Rocks Scholarships!

The Altra Foundation is dedicated to providing financial wellness opportunities for youth and adults in the communities they serve. The Foundation’s definition of financial wellness is having the skills to develop financial goals, budget, manage debt, invest, and maintain good credit.

Altra Federal Credit Union partnered with the Copeland Events Centers in La Crosse, WI for the Altra Rocks summer concert series. For every ticket sold, $1 was given to the Altra Foundation to create the Altra Rocks Scholarships, specifically for adult students enrolled in a certificate program, undergraduate or graduate program.

The Altra Foundation selected four winners for the Altra Rocks scholarships. Jesus G. and Renee H. of La Crosse, WI, Kayla R. of Marshfield, WI, and Rebecca D. of Kasson, MN. Each of the winners will be awarded a $2,500 scholarship.

A check presentation was held for the scholarship recipients at the Altra Federal Credit Union Operations Center, located at 1700 Oak Forest Drive, Onalaska, WI 54650 on Monday, December 18th.

“We saw a need in our community that we wanted to help fill. Finding scholarships as an adult student can be difficult,” says Danielle Anderson, Altra Foundation Scholarship Coordinator. “We are thankful for the partnership with the Copeland Events Center and the ability to create this opportunity.”
